The Winter Semester for Babies and 0-4 year olds (mixed ages) has started and there is still space in many classes.  Always remember that we are always ready and willing to create any additional class times that are not necessarily on the schedule.  In order to add an additional class all that is needed are a minimum of 8 registrants.  Go to Classes/Schedule to see available class space.

The second semester for the 3 & 4 year olds, Winter/Spring Semester just began.  Imagine That!'s Trips I Take , Toys I Make is soooooo much fun.  There is still space in the Monday 1:45 class, the Thursday 1:30   and the Saturday 11;30 class.  Latecomers are welcome.

The "Glockenspiel Class" for 5+ year olds Semester Two is just now getting started.  Come and try out a class.  This is definitely the most fum way to learn music literacy.  There are no prerequisites for the second semester.  We are having a great time.  Come and join us.

Yes, you were right.  The registration form vanished from the page.   A registration form to print out has been added to the website page to replace it.  The former one disappeared into cyberspace somewhere.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:

How is The Center for Music different from

other places who offer music classes and lessons?

Why choose The Center for Music ?

The efficient and concise answers to these questions are the

following:

We are not a large, impersonal center.  Students do not wear

nametags because everyone is known at sight by name.  The teachers

are highly trained professionals whose focus is first and foremost

on the students.

Our Mission Statement truly is the heart of the why's and

wherefore's of "The Center":

The Center for Music is a nonprofit organization

dedicated specifically to the education of the whole-child, body-mind-spirit,

through music and movement and art.

Music and movement, music making and music learning are vital and essential

to the sensory motor and brain development in young children.  We believe that

the active experience of music and movement in the beginning of life will greatly

effect in dynamic, positive and nurturing ways throughout all parts of human growth

and development and thus to the larger extent our immediate society.

The heart of the mission of The Center for Music is to

provide the finest and the absolute best age-appropriate education in music,

movement and art for children of all ages and their families in an environment,

which is warm, nurturing and stimulating to the learning process. Through

on-going research and training, we are committed to offer the most excellent

and up-to-date programs taught by highly qualified teachers.  The Center

for Music endeavors to strengthen and enrich the lives of all

interested children in the Greater Washington D.C. Metro area including

surrounding localities in Virginia and Maryland.
