Music is vital in constructing a harmonious and secure environment that helps children grow healthy and confident. That is why we offer classes throughout early childhood, beginning at birth and continuing through grade school.
The Center for Music, Movement, and Art, Inc. offers the greater Washington DC metro area the foremost premiere music and movement programs for babies, toddlers, young children, children and those grown children called adults. Based upon a belief that building the love of music and making music are magical keys to opening one's heart and mind, The Center for Music, Movement, and Art, Inc. offers age appropriate classes incorporating the philosophies, curriculums, and materials of Music Together®, Kindermusik®, Musikgarten®, Suzuki, Dalcroze, Orff, Kodaly, and Gordon all together in a holistic mind-body-spirit approach.

Reminder concerning weather conditions and music classes: The Center for Music, Movement and Art follows the D.C. public school inclement weather closings, i.e., when they are closed we are closed; however if they are delayed, our classes operate in a normal schedule. One can always check their website for school closings. Yes we have classes today, Friday 2/22/08.

It's back! The Monday evening Family Music P.M. Pajama Class is back this semester. A great class for working moms and dads who want to spend quality time with their children in the best music class. It starts at 7:15 p.m. Pajamas are a choice and not necessary, but just fun for the kids.
There is still space in the following classes: Musical Baby - Wednesday 12:30 & Thursday 9:30; Musical Beginnings - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11:30 classes; Family Music Time - Saturday 10:00 class.
The second semester for Imagine That !, Toys I Make - Trips I Take, and Kindermusik for the Young Child Semester Two will start two weeks later than originally scheduled. Due to the delay in resuming classes, the Winter/Spring Semester will begin February 11 and go until May 31 without breaks. There is still space in all the scheduled classes for continuing and NEW students.
