The Summer Songs collections are compilations of 3 "school year" song collections so we always get a wonderful mixture of songs, some that we might recognize, some old favorites and them some that will be a new discovery.

For ages 3's and 4's, we have a fun summer camp- flavor program called "Confetti Days" with not only music, movement, dance, songs but also wonderful theme related arts and crafts activities.
The children are with the teacher for 60 minutes once a week. The parent/caregiver joins their child for "Sharing Time" the last 15/20 minutes to share in the fun of creating art works or dancing together.

Especially for summer fun for 5 and 6 year olds - Adventures Around the World. Visiting places around the world through music, movement and arts/crafts curriculum, the children experience the music and cultures of Germany, England, Japan, Mexico and countries in Africa.
The children meet with the teacher once a week for 75-80 minutes. The parent/caregiver joins for "Sharing Time" the last 20-30 minutes to share in the fum of creating art works or dancing together.

Two brand new offerings for this Summer '09
Summer is the perfect time to start something "brand new". Whether the student is on the verge of turning 6 years old or 7 years old, the summer months are the best time to try out a new discipline. No school homework to think about, no harried schedules to keep, just a great opportunity to start learning all about music.
Super Summer - Glockenspiel
Students must be at least 6 years old by 9/1/09
If your child missed out on the glockenspiel class last school year and would like to be in the Instrumental Explorations class in the Fall 2009, this is a fabulous opportunity to get all of the necessary basic. We will use the 8 weeks of the Summer Session to start the building of a very sold music foundation with the glockenspiel as our first learning instrument. As always , we will continue to learn with the entire body, having fun drumming, dancing and moving to the music.
The class meets once a week for 75 minutes. The adult is welcome to stay and observe as long as their presence is not a distraction, otherwise the adult may return for "Sharing Time:", the last 15-20 minutes.
Classes are offered
4:00 on Wednesday & Friday and possibly Saturday 1:30 depending on the amount of response.

Super Summer - Keyboard
Students must be at least 7 years old by 9/1/09
If your child missed out on the Instrumental Explorations class last school year and would like to be in the Keyboard Year One class in the Fall 2009, this is a great opportunity to get all of the necessary basics. We will use the 8 weeks to get very well acquainted with the piano keyboard, the treble and bass clef notes, the solfege system and basic rhythm notes. As always, we will continue to learn with the entire body, having fun drumming, dancing and moving to music.
The class meets once a week for 90 minutes. The adult is welcome to stay and observe (even learn along with the students) as long as their presence is not a distraction, otherwise the adult returns for "Sharing Time" , the last 20-25 minutes.
Classes are offered
4:00 Tuesday & Saturday and possibly Wednesday depending upon the amount of response.
